The search for the elf door ushers joy and excitement to children and adults alike, offering a perfect excuse to set off the festive adventure with family and friends.

25.11.2025 The official opening of the Christmas Market will take place on Saturday, 29 November. All market cottages will open their shutters at 11:00, and the festive opening ceremony will begin at 17:00 on the Christmas Market stage. This year’s programme features the dazzling vocal ensemble CALLA, Mayor Ilmari Nurminen, and of course the much-anticipated guest – Santa Claus with his elves. The evening will be hosted by the wonderful Salla Paajanen.

14.11.2025 Tampere Christmas Market will soon turn Central Square into a magical Christmas wonderland. The festivities begin on 22 November with the Glogg Restaurant, Pyynikki Doughnut Café, and selected stalls. From 29 November, the full market opens daily until 22 December and this year, you can even enjoy the atmosphere on Christmas Eve.

This year the Christmas Market will partially on Saturday 23 November when the Glogg Restaurant, the Doughnut café and some of the artisans will already be there.
