Christmas Market’s events

Over the years, the Christmas Market’s atmospheric stage has presented hundreds of great shows. Some of the nation’s best-known entertainers and local talents have created great memories and a genuine Christmas atmosphere on the stage and in the alleys of the Christmas Market.

  • November 22–23
    The Christmas market is partially open. Open vendors: Viipe, Namaste Dreams, Bubble waffles, Prezel, Käsityökortteli, Marjatila Tyrnikka, Pesosen Mehiläistarhat, Rolliz Rullapulla, Hiekkakakku, Mielen ry, Puurobaari, Chemnitz, Kauppahallin Kotiruoka, Herkkuja Lapista, Joensuun Piirakkapiste, Piian Herkut, Hunaja Hetki, Murkula, Arjen Ilot, Hansa Gold, Runopuu, Lelusetä, House of Simone, Taitajien paja, Glogg Restaurant, Doughnut Café, Media Potentia, Ideabutiikki, Amusantti (22.11.)

  • All Christmas Market cottages open from 11 am. to 7 pm., Glogg Restaurant open from 11 am. to 8 pm.

    Christmas Market opening ceremony at 5 pm.
    Featuring vocal group CALLA, Mayor Ilmari Nurminen, and host Salla Paajanen — with a special appearance by Santa Claus and his elves.

  • 1–3 December at 5:30 pm ,The elves from Pyynikki Upper Secondary School will be roaming the Christmas Market and spreading Christmas spirit.

    4 December at 6:00 pm , The elves from Pyynikki Upper Secondary School will be roaming the Christmas Market and spreading Christmas spirit.

    December 7th at 5:00 pm, Tampere Philharmonic Choir
    At the Christmas Market, a mixed choir and a women’s choir composed of singers from the Tampere Philharmonic Choir will perform.

  • 9 December at 17:30, Sing-along on the Christmas Market stage, led by the singing elves from Pyynikki Upper Secondary School.

    11 December at 17:30, The elves from Pyynikki Upper Secondary School will lead an elf workout on the Christmas Market stage.

    12 December at 5:00 pm and 5:40 pm, Picantus Choir. At 5:00 pm, the elves from Pyynikki Upper Secondary School will be roaming the Christmas Market and spreading Christmas spirit.

    13 December at 1:30 pm, Sing-along on the Christmas Market stage, led by the singing elves from Pyynikki Upper Secondary School.

    14 December at 1:00 pm, Post Elf Story. 4:00 pm Tampere Technical Student Horns

  • 15 December at 5:30 pm, The elves from Pyynikki Upper Secondary School will lead an elf workout on the Christmas Market stage.

    16 December at 5:00 pm, The elves from Pyynikki Upper Secondary School will be roaming the Christmas Market and spreading Christmas spirit. Rasta S at 18:00.

    18 December at 6:00 pm, The elves from Pyynikki Upper Secondary School will recite poems on the Christmas Market stage.
