The Christmas Market stage can host a wide variety of activities, from Christmas plays to song, dance and music performances. If you would like to be a performer on the Christmas Market – submit your own act to be included in the Christmas Market’s programme.
We welcome programme suggestions from both beginners and more experienced amateur performers or groups. The desired duration of the programme is less than 10 minutes. There is no extra charge for performing a programme, but performing at the Christmas Market is a great opportunity to get noticed and gain publicity for yourself or your group. We are looking for both daytime and evening programmes.

Where do I arrive?
Please arrive by the Christmas tree in front of the old church, next to the Christmas Market fence. From there, it’s easy to move the goods to the stage. There are milk trolleys at the Backstage, which you can borrow if you need to. Remember to return the trolleys to the same place. Please move your car quickly to the parking space between the trolleys. Unfortunately, we do not have a parking space available.
Where do I sign up?
Unless otherwise agreed with the technician, registration will take place at the backstage (see map below).
Any soundcheck will be agreed with the technician (only in special cases).

The performer/performing group makes the announcement text and takes care of the announcement if they want an announcement of their performance. After registration, the group’s announcer will visit the Tonttukonttori to familiarise himself/herself with the announcing technique. The announcement can be made 5 and 15 minutes before the performance, for example. The announcement can be heard throughout the entire Christmas Market area.

The Christmas market has a small stage, approximately 3 x 4 m2.
The stage technology includes:
- 3 Shure SM58 solo microphones
- 2 Rode M5 MP condenser microphones
- 2 x Opera Live monitors
- Stage lighting is 1.2 kW PA
You can request a technician from us if required. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any back line requests. The stage is not heated, so please dress for the weather.
